Day 03 of ISSB Experience ( GTO Day)
Day 3 : GTO Day 1
Johar hall 7am
GTO short interview ( just Introduction and educational background, GTO gave me a situation during my introduction, ” you’re at home and It’s raining outside, what will you do ? )
Lecturate,my topic ( Literate mother or illeteral mother , who can do better character building of children )
Military planning: In military planning first we were given 20 minutes to write our own plan , then everyone was called by the GTO to present their plan , my plan was complete but having a lot of mistakes , then we made combined plan , we discussed for 10 minutes and then voting for the individual to present the plan , my group gave me 4 votes , most of them so GTO called me to present the combined plan , my plan was again complete but only 2 mistakes were allowed so when I reached 70% of my plan , I already had made 5 mistakes so GTO ask me to sit on my place ,
GTO outdoor task started
In Progressive group task we were just able to complete 1 and half stage when time was finished, As I was a repeater so during PGT I remained natural , helping, cooperative and in the middle to help the weaker ones ,)
After PGT we were called for Snake race , we were given a 20 kg weight and a tire with rope to take with us , we were given 6 minutes and on each foul 30 seconds deduction, we had to complete the race with the weight,) We could able to complete 3 obstacles and the time was finished.
After Snake race our GTO tasks for the day were finished, It was the day of Friday so after Jummah prayer we were asked to get ready for the interviews.
First we sat in a room for group discussion topics were ( We lost east Pakistan, was that a military or political mistake ?) ( Larkiyan larko sy zyada responsible hoti hain ,Kyu ? ) After GD we were called for interviews
My interview length was 40-45 minutes, the mod of the deputy was first polite then really agressive

> Just 3 questions about general knowledge including, why Lahore is called lahore, 10 names of tanks that Pakistan use, A capital of a country, I couldn’t answer any question.
> 5-7 Situations including sex related situations
> Hobbies, sports, favorite personality related, aim of life related questions,
> He also ask me to tell him what books I read as I written in my hobbies , book reading, then we discuss about books and interests, sports achievement etc
> We discussed a lot on The role of military in politics and current political situation of Pakistan, I already had read a book about the role of military in politics so I was confident while answering the questions ,
At the end of the interview , deputy ask me about the role of military in the 1971 separation of east Pakistan, Our lecturate topic was about this topic and I gave my opinion that it was a military+political mistake ,
Interview ended with Thank you and best of luck for the ISSB
Only my interview was of 40+ minutes, my other group members interview length was 7-12 min each ,
My interview ended at 7 pm and I was free after interview.

Day 04 of ISSB Experience (GTO Day 02)
Day 4 : GTO Day 2
Johar hall 6:45 am
Individual obstacles ( I did 8 obstacles, I tried rope climbing but failed to complete)
After individual obstacles we were called for Command task , before my command task GTO conducted my short interview, GTO asked me about my stay at ISSB, my father’s job , how much time I spend with my father ? , My aim of life , my favorite personality, my hobbies , why I failed in last ISSB, what improvements now I have made for this ISSB , what type of books I read after listening types he ask me a question, what is the origin of self Help ( Self help is a book category, I said sorry sir ) then GTO gave me briefing of my task
Command task ,( my command task was toughest as I was expecting it will be tough because I was prominent in my group , I was in the middle of my task and about to complete but GTO made the task more complex to make me feel pressurized but I remained calm , I was able to complete 70% of my command task but I was satisfied because I did it well ,
Mutual assessment, I put myself on the 1st place in MA
After this we went to our rooms , Staff came to us and said that Psych interviews will be conducted between 12-2 pm , Psych called no one from our group for interview , so we were free and I changed my clothes , at 4 pm staff called my chest number for psych interview I was in track suit so I changed my cloth and went for interview ,
Psych interview was just 3-5 minutes long. Psych ask me about my , aim of life , my reason of joining army , my favorite personality, at the end he ask me , can you remain calm under stress ? I replied yes , as I mentioned in my OPI that I can remain calm under stress , Psych ask me to leave the room after my answer,
Day 05 of ISSB Experience (Conference Day)
Day 5 : Conference Day
Johar hall 7 am before going to Johar hall we had already packer our bags and put our bags outside the rooms.
Psych came into the Johar hall for motivational lecture
After motivational lecture we were asked to wait for the call of re interviews , re command tasks etc.
At almost 9 am I was called for re interview, I entered the room, My GTO, Psych and Deputy was sitting in the room , deputy asked me several questions then psych took my whole interview again , GTO was just sitting and he didn’t ask any question , psych gave me complex situations, sex related questions, sex related conditions , homo sexuality related questions etc and ask the same question again that ( What is your response towards stress , can you remain calm under stress , how you face your problems of life ) ,
After my re interview I was called for re command task and individual obstacles, but this time Psych and Deputy was also their watching me doing the tasks , I again was given a tough command task it was more complex and GTO gave me different condition, Green color was totally out of bound , red was friendly color , white color was just for the drum and luggage, I couldn’t step onto it , the tough conditions were to make me stressed, this time I was able to complete less than half of the task but my plan was good towards finishing line ,
In re obstacles I completed 10 obstacles this time , I did Tarzan swing for two times ,
After obstacles I was again called for interview , this time commandant was sitting there with senior psych , senior psych was very dangerous looking man. He asked me some questions first about my university life , sex related questions, Gf etc then commandant only ask me about my family background,my stay at ISSB , any improvements needed , career that I will choose if get NR , then he said to leave.

انیشل اور آئی ایس ایس بی میں سب سے اہم چیز ہے انگلش میں بولنا. اور سیکالوجسٹ ٹیسٹ. اور باقی بریفنگز. اگر بولنا نہیں آتا تو آپ آوٹ ڈور میں ٹارزن بن جاو وہاں کچھ بھی نہیں ھونا
Conclusion
My result was NR , but many candidates who were even more intelligent and capable were also NR this time. One of our batch fellow was outstanding throughout the ISSB and every single person was sure that he’ll get recommended, he was recommended for PMA 145 LC but low merit and then in 145 LC he was again Low merit , he was NR in PMA 147 LC and coming in 150 LC with a lot of improvement but still he was Not recommended,he was also student of Forces Academy Sargodha . Even if I was NR but still I gave my best , my preparation was excellent and performance was also very good. In my last ISSB I made too much mistakes , show artificial behavior but in 2nd attempt I was way better than before. I was given full chance to prove myself without any injustice at ISSB. Those who were Recommended were far more better than us. One of my friend got recommend he was having a balanced personality and natural behavior. So I suggest everyone to work hard and try to stay natural during tests , Keep praying during ISSB , and if you make a mistake their is no need to get panic , try to perform better in the next task. ISSB isn’t about big things it’s about small things. If you do every single test with perfection but ignore simple things it will still not be enough and many get recommended even making a lot of mistakes.thanx to Forces Academy Srgodha.
